- Abstract
The article discusses a study comparing the effects of a supported speed treadmill training exercise program (SSTTEP) with exercise on spasticity, strength, gait spatiotemporal parameters, motor control, physical function, and gross motor skills in children with spastic cerebral palsy (CP). Results showed improvements in gait, speed, cadence and Pediatric Outcomes Data Collection Instrument (PODCI) scores. The gains in PODCI global scores and gait speed were also maintained by those in the SSTTEP group after the intervention's withdrawal.
