- Abstract
The article focuses on the increasing court competition for patent cases in the U.S. Topics discussed include impact of forum shopping on patent litigation as well as on patent system, implementation of venue restriction for rules related to patent case assignments, and assignment of patent cases by the judicial panel as that of multi-district litigation. It further discusses the role of patent case assignment in reducing forum shopping and litigation costs.
