- Abstract
The article discusses the mechanism of action of meropenem antibiotics against infectious disease tuberculosis caused by the bacillus Mycobacterium tuberculosis. It highlights that combination of meropenem and clavulanate drugs is required to inhibit the activity of L, D-transpeptidase in the bacillus which is required for cell wall synthesis, virulence and tolerance towards drugs.
