- Abstract
The article discusses results of a study that examines the effect of trigger system on outcomes of physician evaluation and therapeutic intervention, disposition and antibiotics in patients at emergency departments (ED). The methods for the pre and postintervention study are discussed, including the use of retrospective chart examination of outcomes. The study showed a reduced overall median times among posttriggers patients. It concludes that ED triggers program will result in more rapid time outcomes.
