- Abstract
The article highlights several alternative approaches to diagnose and monitor osteoporosis or bone fracture in British women approaching menopause. According to the author, Axial dual X-ray absorpitometry (DXA) is the most common method of scanning osteoporosis but its availability is limited. He adds that scanning using peripheral devices, such as DXL Calscan using dual X-ray and laser (DXL) technology to produce peripheral scan, can help save the time of health professionals and patients.
