- Abstract
The article discusses the evaluation of the introductory physics course on film in the U.S. On 1956-57, Encyclopedia Britannica Films Inc. produced a serial film of 162 lectures and demonstrations performed by professor Harvey E. White of Stanford University. Such films are bought by the Bureau of Visual Instruction of the University of Kansas for its high schools. Similar incident occurred prior to the beginning of 1958-59 school year wherein two schools in Eastern Kansas suburban county anticipated the introduction of physics course on film. Both schools comprise of several physics classes with teachers and numerous students which is conducive for the study and statistical analysis in school size, purpose, teacher enthusiasm and community background.
