- Abstract
The article focuses on the National HIV Testing Day on June 27, 2008. The event aimed to address the importance of knowing one's current HIV infection status. It is mentioned that the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is proposing routine HIV testing for all individuals between 13 to 64 years old. HIV testing services in 23 areas with the highest HIV cases reportedly increased. Early detection of HIV infection is believed to be a solution to prevent the transmission of the disease and prolong the life of patient.
