- Abstract
This research aims at understanding the characteristics of Generation Z and their perceptions about work regarding nowadays hyper-technological context. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with four subjects, using the technique of content of thematic analysis to categorize the narratives. As results, we identified aspects related to characteristics and projections of work and perceptions about technology and its use at work. Some observations are aligned with the literature. The virtuality in the relation of formation provokes self-learning, reflecting in the emergence of a new worker who, differently from the literature, does not trust to perform multiple activities at the same time, and differs from other generations. In addition, new dimensions are perceived to the notions of time and space, permeated by hyper-technology. We conclude with the defense of the relocation of the multigenerational coexistence to deal with the new demands of the work in this hyper-technological context with multiple meanings for the generations.
