- Abstract
The article focuses on research regarding accessory jaw structures and teeth abnormalities. In cleidocranial dysostosis and cleft lip, incidence of multiple supernumerary teeth was found. Sporadic manifestations of supernumeraries occur mostly in the midline and molar regions of the maxilla, followed by the premolar region of the mandible. Researchers have concluded that double teeth result from either germination or fusion. Several individuals have been found to have both unilateral and bilateral hyperplasia and benign neoplasia of the coronoid process of the mandible.
