- Abstract
Coronavirus SARS COV-2 and its spread across different countries in the world led governments to follow the recommendations of the World Health Organization published on March 11th, 2020, resulting in the suspension of school activities. In Mexico, more than 30 million students, and 2 million teachers halt their regular activities to face this reality. Within this context, the present study aims to find out how 2 253 K-12 teachers who responded to the END-Covid-19 online questionnaire between April 20th and April 30th, 2020, are coping with their teaching-learning activities. The results present a repertoire of digital platforms used by Mexican teachers for both management and teaching-learning activities. It also describes a variety of instructional strategies that combine the traditional (textbooks, worksheets, TV) with the digital. It finds differences between geographic regions and school levels, although there are no significant differences between teachers' chosen strategies, and their sex and age. Other relevant findings emerged from a sentiment analysis performed on teachers' answers, describing their practices in the present situation, but also identifying what kind of training and support they would like to receive in the future.
