- Abstract
The article presents a case in which a 62-year-old farmer had a 2-year history of a relapsing pruritic eruption of the face and plaque-like lesions of both outer thighs. On physical examination, the patient showed scaly erythemato-oedematous eruption which involved the whole face and neck. Burning and itching were present. Facial lesions were highly suggestive of a photodermatosis. Skin biopsies showed a moderate dermal lymphoid infiltrate with evident epidermotropism. History revealed that the symptoms were exacerbated by contact with fig-tree wood.
