- Abstract
In the article "Phonon-Bottleneck Enhanced Exciton Emission in 2D Perovskites," the authors discuss how excitons in layered perovskites can become trapped in high-energy states, even at low temperatures, due to a phonon-bottleneck effect. This phenomenon causes a buildup of excitons, which can then cool and relax to their ground state. The authors compare this process to a volcano erupting at higher temperatures. The study provides insights into the dynamics of excitons in perovskite materials, which could have implications for solar energy harvesting.
