Whats new in critical illness and injury science: Predicting mortality in trauma!
- Authors
Singh, Ajai
- Abstract
The author reflects on the factors that predict mortality in trauma cases and their magnitude of severity from independent scores in a resource constrained scenario. He cites a study that focuses on 1-year mortality of injured with a unique attempt to estimate the external validity using the Cox proportional hazard model. The author thinks that some factors need to be highlighted when measuring the severity of trauma using Injury Severity Score (ISS).
