- Abstract
The authors discuss their perspective on U.S. racial inequality in arrests for illegal drugs and prisoner's treatment for drug abuse, referencing an article in the issue by Mooney et al. An overview of the disparities between of African American and whites for drug possession arrests, including in regard to the similar rates of substance abuse by each populations, is provided.
