- Abstract
The article presents a medical research study on the midlife risk factors and healthy survival of men. The objective of the study was to find whether midlife biological, lifestyle, and sociodemographic risk factors are associated with survival and exceptional survival, which is defined as survival to a specified age without incidence of six major chronic diseases or impairment. According to the article, high grip strength and avoidance of overweight, hyperglycemia, hypertension, smoking, and excessive alcohol consumption were associated with exceptional survival.
