- Abstract
The article presents reprints of "Heart Block and the Stokes-Adams Syndrome" and "An Object Lesson in Pure Food," originally printed in the "Journal of the American Medical Association" on March 3, 1906. The first article discusses how the primary symptoms of Stokes-Adams Syndrome may be explained by the effects of heart block. It also examines the discovery of the bundle, which is the muscular band connecting the auricles with the ventricles in the heart. The second article looks at how a New York chemist treated his friends to a "synthetic dinner," where each item of food was an artificial substitute for the real thing. It questions the future of food legislation.
