Collectively, they demonstrate that oxidative stress plays a central role in the pathobiology of neurodegenerative diseases and AD in particular. Arslan et al. systematically reviewed studies conducted on humans where several oxidative stress markers have been used as biomarkers in Alzheimer's disease (AD) at an early stage.
