- Abstract
The article presents a study which examines whether bone resorption would increase in the setting of sex steroid deficiency concomitant with a suppression of follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) secretion. Researchers have assessed the bone resorption markers of 59 men who underwent suppression of sex steroids and testosterone and estradiol replacement. Results reveal that estradiol has greater suppressive effects on bone resorption and that bone resorption is independent on FSH secretion.
