- Abstract
The article presents a study which investigates how the unified risk score ABCD2 compares to the ABCD and California scores for predicting risk of stroke in patients with transient ischemic attack. Results revealed that 3.9 percent, 5.5 percent and 9.2 percent of patients had stroke within two, seven and 90 days of transient ischemic attack. It is concluded that ABCD, California and ABCD2 risk scores have similar capabilities for predicting stroke within the said time spans.
