The article discusses research on the treatment of completely resected non-small-cell lung cancer based from the results of a study by the National Cancer Institute of Canada Clinical Trials Group. It references the study "Gefitinib Versus Placebo in Completely Resected Non-Small-Cell Lung Cancer: Results of the NCIC CTG BR19 Study," by G. D. Goss and colleagues, which appeared in the "Journal of Clinical Oncology" on August 26, 2013. Placebo was found to be more than effective than gefitinib.
