- Title
miRNA Overexpression Induces Cardiomyocyte Proliferation In Vivo.
- Authors
Baker, Andrew H; van Rooij, Eva
- Abstract
The author reflects on the study by A. Eulalio and colleagues on microRNA (miRNA) species that can induce cardiomyocyte cell proliferation and improve the function of heart after myocardial infarction in rodents. The author states that high-throughput technology was used to assess the impact of 1,000 miRNA on cardiomyocyte proliferation on neonatal rat. The author adds that the study allows the subsequent analysis by miRNA manipulation in vivo and in vitro.
