- Abstract
The article discusses the potential use of a manual dermatoscope with a compact digital camera in a pigmented lesion clinic. It explains that dermatoscopy refers to a non-invasive diagnostic technique which involves the in vivo visualization of morphological structures that do not surface with a simple clinical examination. It cites the commercially available instruments used in performing dermatoscopy, such as a dermaphot, a stereomicroscope, and a videodermatoscope.
