- Abstract
In this atricle the author commets on the impact of the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) inspections on workers' compensation claims among employees of Pennsylvania manufacturing firms. He said that when OSHA compliance officers identify serious hazards, the agency assesses penalties. He also says that these penalties are generally not large, averaging a few thousand dollars except in unusual circumstances.
