- Abstract
This PEGylation extends the FVIII half-life by 1.5-1.8-fold, compared to standard FVIII,[1] enabling higher trough levels of FVIII activity (FVIII:C), and a reduced infusion frequency. Reduced FVIII recovery associated with anti-FVIII PEG antibodies after BNT162b2 SARS-CoV-2 vaccination. Further analyses of the plasma samples demonstrated that anti-PEG IgG Ab titres declined to approximately one-fourth the initial level 4 months after the single infusion of PEGylated-rFVIII, whilst anti-PEG IgM Ab titres increased 4-fold.
