- Abstract
Hair thread tourniquet syndrome is rare and usually occurs in very young patients. The tourniquet syndrome may ocur in different parts of the body, particularly in toes, fingers, penis, clitoris, labia, neck and uvula. If the tourniquet not early diagnosed and treated promtply, serious complications may be occur. Irritability may be the only presenting symptom; thus, a high index of suspicion is required. Appropriate treatment is removal of the constricting fiber. We aimed to present a case of a four month old baby girl who had subtotal amputation in her toe finger.
