- Abstract
The article offers information on several cases associated with the cognitive decline which includes a case of a 70 year old teacher suffering from mild diabetes mellitus with a history of head trauma, a case of a 70 year old truck driver with multiple chronic conditions and a case of a 40 year married woman suffering from several disorders including hypertension, hyperlipidemia and alcohol abuse. It mentions that according to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, cognitive declines may cause chronic homelessness for a year or more or having had at least four episodes of homelessness. It also informs that homeless individuals suffering from cognitive decline do not use traditional health and social services.
