- Abstract
The article describes the case of a 57-year-old male who was suspected with amiodarone pneumonitis. The patient, who had initially presented with signs of dehydration, was treated for recurrent pneumonia during his prolonged stay in the hospital. Amiodarone pneumonitis was described as the drug for the treatment of ventricular dysrhythmia. It notes that the main treatment for amiodarone-induced lung toxicity is to discontinue the drug.
