- Abstract
This article focuses on the new directions that will influence health care system in the U.S. While managed care has already made an impact on this sector, it is clear that corporate networking can also impart profound changes in the delivery of health care in this country. There are medical corporate structures purchasing teaching hospitals and universities to identify the medical student entering the system, the curriculum that may be focused mainly on primary care and, in some instances, defending the total or partial cost of education via generous loan forgiveness of tuition reimbursement plans. This, of course, is at some price. The students could then agree to practice in the corporate network health care system in return for financial help. Hence, the corporate network would be in a position to control the entire cascade of medical training, medical personnel, and patient flow.
