- Abstract
The article discusses the assessment of physician responses to a community-level trial promoting judicious antibiotic use. It stresses that in multiple communities an intervention in physician offices reached its intended audience in promoting judicious antibiotic prescribing. However, it notes that attitudes and practices of physicians were similar in intervention and control communities. It emphasizes that the most effective at assuring judicious antibiotic use is through consistent reminders.
