- Abstract
The article presents a study on the improvement of the anisotropic mechanical properties of electrospun poly(vinylidene fluoride) (PVDF) through the application of continuous hot-press post-treatment. According to researchers, the low mechanical properties of electrospun polymeric membranes could be attributed to the weak interactions between the ultrafine fibers. The materials used by the researchers for the electrospinning process include syringe pump and high-voltage power supply. The researchers noted the tensile properties and ruptured behaviors of the hot-pressed PVDF membranes that were electrospun in revolving direction (RD) and in cross direction.
