- Abstract
The article cited a study on the in vitro activity of dalbavancin against enterococci isolates from pets, poultry, wild animals and humans in Portugal. As stated, dalbavancin is a new semisynthetic teicoplanin-related lipoglycopeptide with activity against gram positive organisms. The activity of dalbavancin against faecal enterococci isolates was investigated through the microboth dilution method. In the analysis, it is found out that the isolates that exhibited the VanC resistance phenotype were inhibited at dalbavancin concentrations.
