- Abstract
A literary criticism is presented on the book "Commentaries on the Laws of England," by William Blackstone. Particular focus is given to the influence that Blackstone's theory of happiness within the aforementioned book had on the book "To Kill a Mockingbird," by Harper Lee. The depiction of English law within Blackstone's book, including in regard to the relationship between happiness and justice, is discussed.
