- Abstract
The article provides information on a study investigation the factors affecting social interaction with mates and neighbors of the Little Owl birds in Northern Jutland, Denmark. It is stated that vocal signals is the owl's way of ensuring food supply, defending its territory and attracting mates. Factors considered in projecting the probability of an owl to call include the male's distance his mate and nest, the distance from the male's nest to the nearest neighboring nest with a territory-holding male.
