The article presents an abstract of the study "Analysis of Survival Signaling Pathways in Primary Culture of Oligodendrocytes." The study reports that the neuregulins activate the phosphatidyIinositoI 3-Kinase/Akt pathways and exert anti-apoptotic effects in oligodendrocytes. The research paper for the study would be presented in the 30th Annual Meeting of the American Society for Neurochemistry, on March 14-17, 1999, in New Orleans, Louisiana.
