- Abstract
The article presents a study addressing the antiallergic properties of hop water extract (HWE) by evaluating histamine release from human basophilic KU812 cells induced by calcium ionophore A23187. It highlights that HWE inhibits histamine release, but boiling water and chloroform-methanol extract have not shown any repressive effect on it. Meanwhile, a 50% methanol-eluted fraction separated from HWE by XAD-4 column chromatography (MFH) shows a strong repressive effect compared with HWE.
