Tribe, Helen M.; Kennedy, David M.
- Abstract
The article presents a study on the geomorphology and evolution of Farewell Spit in New Zealand. It states that the Farewell Spit, which is composed of barchan dunes, sand sheets and vegetated linear dunes, is a large barrier spit that marks the end of a littoral drift system. A diagram which explains the location of the 25-kilometer-long Farewell Spit is also presented.
