- Abstract
The article discusses the results of a clinical study examining the Baroreflex sensitivity (BRS) in obesity and its potential effect on cardiac autonomic nervous system activity. The study involved 30 women with body mass index (BMI) of >30 kg/m² and 30 women with BMI of <25 kg/m². It mentions that the main determinants of BRS are BMI, age and the parasympathetic system activity.
