- Abstract
The article discusses aspects of interaction networks in catalytic residues of enzymatic reactions. It presents a research on dissected interaction network of five residues in the active site of E. Coli Alkaline Phosphatase which showed interconnected functional units with distinct modes of cooperative. It reports that extensive site-directed mutagenesis shows energetic characterization of active site necessary in benchmarking algorithms of highly efficient enzymes.
