- Abstract
Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of the right forearm demonstrated fasciitis and myositis, involving the deep and superficial flexor muscles and tendons. Based on his clinical presentation in the absence of preceding trauma, nerve dysfunction, or tissue ischemia, the patient was diagnosed with pseudo-Volkmann contracture. Pseudo-Volkmann contracture must also be differentiated not only from Volkmann ischemic contracture and finger joint contracture but also from nerve dysfunction, which can present similarly.
