- Abstract
Both early-pandemic FA-specific and generalized anxiety were found to be significantly higher than pre-pandemic levels. Parents of children with FA reported heightened levels of generalized and FA-specific anxiety during the COVID-19 pandemic compared with a sample of parents pre-COVID. The early-COVID mean generalized anxiety score fell above the cut-off for a probable anxiety disorder (>=23).[6] Similarly, pre-COVID parent FA-specific anxiety levels were significantly lower than early-COVID levels.
