- Abstract
The article reconstructs the political imaginations about work in Argentina during the reform cycle of the 2002-2015 period and it is based on extensive archival work on political and specialized discussions about socio-labour problems. The reform was structured in the reactivation of a utopian gesture that affirmed the ability of politics to restore an integratived approach of employment. The questioning of the viability of such a horizon installed dystopian perspectives about the inevitable advent of labor flexibility, the basis of the proposal to autonomize protection and employment. In this controversy, questions of the theses of the "end of work", previously decentralized, were updated, constituting political imaginations in a key field of confrontation over the ways of regulating employment after the breakdown of neoliberal hegemony.
