Moraes, Felipe; Domingues da Silva, Angela Moreira
- Abstract
Professor Marieta de Moraes Ferreira talks about her academic trajectory, her relationship with Oral History, and her participation in the production of the Brazilian Historical Biographical Dictionary. She highlights the importance of discussing memory and memory conflicts, criticizing the frozen view of memory present in Paul Thompson's book "The Voice of the Past". Regarding the book about João Goulart, Marieta explains that her motivation came after her work on the Brazilian Historical Bibliographical Dictionary, where she wrote entries about Jango and the PTB. She mentions the fragmentation of memory regarding Jango, both by conservative groups and left-wing groups, who criticize his history and political strategies. Finally, Marieta talks about her work at the Getúlio Vargas Foundation, coordinating projects for the production of textbooks and discussing topics related to Basic Education. The article also discusses the FGV High School Digital Teaching Portal project, which offers free resources for schools and educational networks, such as online tests and simulations with automatic correction. Additionally, the article addresses the reform of High School Education in Brazil, which aims to make the curriculum more flexible but faces challenges in implementation.
