- Abstract
Of 616 kappa-expressing B cells, 64 (10.4%) showed aberrant I IGK i locus rearrangements, compared to 148 (24.4%) of 606 lambda-expressing B cells. Following the report of the association of I CARD11 i variants with congenital B cell lymphocytosis [[1]], the patient's I CARD11 i gene was sequenced and revealed the presence of a missense mutation in exon 4. This lymphocytosis has been designated BENTA disease (B cell expansion with NF- B and T cell anergy) [[1]], but to reflect the broad spectrum of clinical and laboratory manifestations, we prefer the term I CARD11 i -related B cell lymphocytosis.
