The article discusses the choice of law analysis in marine insurance contracts. Topics discussed include the dispute between individual insurance consumers and insurance companies, the interpretation made by the U.S. Supreme Court to the grant of admiralty and maritime jurisdiction and the section 187 of the Restatement to address the contractual choice of law provisions.
