- Abstract
Multiple diagnostic tests always improve diagnostic yield. However, with the addition of more true positives come more false positives. Therefore, positive predictive values likely decrease with additional testing. We show this is true even when no gold standard exists to verify the dual testing's sensitivity and specificity.
