- Abstract
The article focuses on exanthematous disease in a burned infant which was mediated by toxin shock syndrome toxin-one (TSST-1). It includes the case of a nine-year-old infant who was burned on his thigh by hot water. TSST-1 is known to mediate toxin shock syndrome which is described by sudden onset of high fever, disperse skin eruption followed by hypotension and desquamation.
