The article focuses on the energy initiatives implemented for the U.S. Air Force energy plan. It says that the plan was composed of three main foundations namely supply improvement, demand reduction, and culture change. It tells that the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT) aids the plan through academic specialization development, synthetic fuel testing, and fuel management research. Moreover, university researchers and industry members explore on the hybrid-electric systems for aviation.
