- Abstract
The article presents a study which investigates the method of immobilizing the gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) on a glassy carbon (GC) surface. The study uses the transmission electron microscopy (TEM) to evaluate the morphology of the AuNPs and the X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) was performed to examine the chemical composition of GC surfaces. Results show that the AuNPs were immobilized on the positively charged amino groups of the GC surface through electrostatic interaction.
