- Title
When Is Ablation of AV Nodal Reentrant Tachycardia High Risk?
- Authors
MARKOWITZ, STEVEN M.
- Abstract
The author discusses the impact of ablation on the treatment of patients with atrioventricular nodal reentrant tachycardia (AVNRT). He presented the study of Reithmann et. al., which revealed that AVNRT ablation has brought higher risk on patients with first-degree atrioventricular block. The author recommends the slow pathway ablation approach, since it has less risk particularly on patients with first-degree atrioventricular block.
