- Abstract
Because scratches on surface of optical cell are discontinuous, that will result in it's difficult to determine the length of scratches. This paper proposed a connecting method for discontinuous scratches, which based on the controlling of slope. Firstly, it defined the region of discontinuous scratches by pretreatment and searched the scratches breakpoints. Then, it defined the spacing of them and the curvature of the boundary which based on the scratches features. Finally, it connected the breakpoints in single-pixel to get the full continuum of the scratch area. Theoretical analysis and experiments show that this method can avoid the deformation of the boundary, reduce the measuring error. It has excellent practicality. This method can be used not only in the scopes of optical image processing, but also in others that involving breakpoints connection.
